Convert Image to PNG
Any image the browser can read becomes a lossless PNG here, transparency and all. Mixed batches are fine: each file is identified by its bytes. SVGs are drawn at the size you choose, icons keep their transparency, and animated files keep their first frame with a note. Nothing is uploaded.

Tokens: {name} original name · {n} number ({n:3} zero-padded) · {w} {h} pixels · {date} photo date · the extension is added for you. Example:
Camera details, the date taken and location data are kept when the new format can hold them (JPG, PNG, WebP), exactly as the original had them. Want to see or remove it? Remove EXIF and metadata shows everything a photo carries and strips it losslessly.

What this page does differently
- Lossless output for every source; transparency from WebP, GIF, AVIF, ICO and SVG is kept.
- SVG inputs are rasterised at the size you set with a Resize action, not at a fixed default.
- Camera details and dates from JPG and HEIC sources are carried into the PNG.
Why choose PNG?
It is lossless and keeps transparency, and every app opens it. Files are large for photos, so use JPG or WebP for those.
Does PNG make a JPG transparent?
No. A JPG has no transparency to keep. Removing a background is a different job.
Can it read HEIC?
In Safari on iPhone, iPad and Mac, yes. Other browsers cannot decode HEIC yet.
Limits and privacy
No caps of ours: no file-size limit, no daily count, no account, no watermark, no queue. The only limit is what your device can draw; the line under "Before converting" states it. Files never leave your device: this page makes no network request with your images and keeps working offline once loaded. It reads JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, GIF, BMP, ICO and SVG in every browser; HEIC in Safari on iPhone, iPad and Mac. Outputs are JPG, PNG, WebP and multi-size ICO.
