MOV to MP3 Converter
Turn a MOV video from an iPhone, a Mac or a camera into an MP3. The audio is read and converted in your browser, so the video is never uploaded.
or drop them anywhere on the page. Several files are converted one after another.
About this converter
- iPhone videos: the picture in newer iPhone videos (HEVC) can't be played by every browser, but this page only needs the sound, which is AAC and reads fine in Chrome, Edge, Safari and Firefox.
- Nothing is uploaded. Your browser decodes the video's audio track and encodes the MP3 on your device. You can turn off Wi-Fi after the page loads and it still works.
- No size cap of ours. The limit is your device's memory: an hour of stereo audio needs about 1.5 GB while converting. If a long file fails, choose Mono or use a desktop browser. Files over 2 GB can't be read by a browser tab.
- Which files work: MP4, MOV, M4V, WebM, and audio files such as M4A, WAV, OGG and FLAC. MKV works in Chrome and Edge when its audio is AAC, Opus or MP3. AVI and WMV usually don't, because browsers can't decode them.
- Quality: the audio is decoded and re-encoded, so an MP3 is very slightly different from the original track. 192 kbps is transparent for most listening; pick WAV if you plan to edit the audio.
Need to record instead? Use the voice recorder. To check a microphone, use the mic test.
