CPS Test

Click as fast as you can; the timer starts on your first click. You get clicks per second, your best single second, a second-by-second strip, and two honest flags: switch bounce (a worn mouse counting double) and machine-regular intervals (an auto-clicker). Nothing is uploaded.

About this click speed test

How to use it

  1. Pick a duration. 5 seconds is the usual CPS test; 10 seconds is the Kohi length; 60 shows stamina.
  2. Click the test area. The timer starts on that first click, so there is no countdown to anticipate.
  3. Keep clicking until the timer stops. Right, middle and side buttons count too, and are listed separately.
  4. Read the flags under the score before you believe it.

What the numbers mean

Jitter, butterfly and drag clicking

Jitter clicking tenses the forearm so the hand vibrates on the button. Butterfly clicking alternates two fingers on one button. Drag clicking slides a finger across the button so friction fires the switch many times. All three work only as well as the mouse's switch lets them; butterfly and drag clicking in particular rely on, or get confused with, switch bounce. This page counts what your mouse reports and tells you when it looks like bounce; it does not decide which technique is legitimate. Many game servers ban macros and some ban drag clicking, so check your server's rules.

What a good CPS score is

Honestly: we don't publish a ranking. A percentile needs a reference population measured the same way, and no CPS site has one; the "average" tables on other pages are made up or self-selected. Normal clicking lands around 5–8 CPS for most people, jitter clicking 10–14, butterfly and drag higher but with the bounce caveat above. Your own history on this device, kept locally, is the comparison that means something.

Why does my score differ between sites?

Some sites start the timer before your first click, some count releases, some count every mouse button, and some let bounce double-count. This page starts on the first press, counts press-downs only, and reports the flags. Compare runs here with runs here.
